Embassy Gardens

Embassy Gardens is at the heart of Nine Elms, the central London riverside neighbourhood whose revitalisation, masterplanned by Sir Terry Farrell, has been described by the former Mayor of London as ‘possibly the most important regeneration story in London and in the UK over the next twenty years’. The architectural style is distinctive, with apartments standing amongst landscaped public squares, parks and spectacular gardens. The project as a whole will include up to 1,750 new homes and over 40,000 sq m of office and flexible workspace spread over eight building plots rising up to 23 storeys in height. One Embassy Gardens will be the flagship commercial building to complete in 2019, a 215,000 sq ft office building designed by Lee Polisano of PLP Architects. It will have exceptional commercial space over ten floors and a unique west facing roof terrace and winter gardens with spectacular views over the River Thames and central London. New tenants include Penguin Random House UK and Dorling Kindersley.

An application was recently consented for EG:HQ - for a 13-storey office building which will provide 217,000 sq. ft. of flexible, contemporary space designed by Morris+Company. The building will also deliver 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor amenity space, including a 9,000 sq. ft. communal terrace and several private open air terraces. The plans also propose over 5,000 sq. ft. of ground floor retail/restaurant space, in addition to 330 cycle spaces and a cycle workshop to encourage sustainable travel to the area.
