Gateway Housing Association developments

Gateway Housing Association is a long-standing, community-focused housing provider operating primarily in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. With a history dating back to 1926, the organisation has evolved through key mergers, including the 2008 union of Bethnal Green Housing Association, Victoria Park Housing Association, and Labo Housing Association. Today, Gateway manages around 3,000 homes and is the largest provider of sheltered housing for older residents in Tower Hamlets. It was also the first registered provider in the borough to offer shared ownership homes specifically for older people.

Gateway develops a range of residential properties, including homes for shared ownership, leasehold, and private sale. The association places emphasis on well-designed, low-density schemes and consistently upholds high standards of construction quality. As a member of the L12 group — a consortium of London-based housing associations — Gateway is committed to community engagement, service improvement, and policy advocacy. The organisation is registered under the Co-operative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing.
