London suburbs become attractive to buyers
According to the new study by Rightmove, demand for properties in the London suburbs is notably increasing.
The website's data has shown that the number of buyers looking to purchase a property in Zone 6 is growing faster than the number of new buyers in the central Zone 1. This data is based on the number of buyers reaching out to real estate agents, not completed sales.
These changes may indicate how the coronavirus pandemic and the shift to distance working are affecting people's buying criteria.
Service found that the number of buyers in London Zone 6 increased by 108% over last year. Looking at the data for 2019, customer enquiries grew by only 9% year over year.
In the meantime, the number of property buyers in Zone 1 increased by only 7% in September 2019 to September this year. Previously, the number of buyers in these areas increased by 41% between 2018 and 2019.
