New £14m London residential scheme funded by Atelier

Atelier funds £14m South-East London residential-led regeneration of a former civic building at Denmark Hill.

The developer of the scheme is The Edition Group. Funded by Atelier, the developer plans to deliver 24 new homes ranging from 1-bedroom to 3-bedroom flats and a roof garden.

According to Martin Gilsenan of Atelier, the scheme at Denmark Hill in Southwark goes in line with the company's mission to back up urban regeneration through affordable housing built with the highest sustainability standards.

He says that the London property market is currently recovering from pandemic-related trends such as families switching their city flats for spacious suburban houses. More and more businesses open their offices and start to trade as they used to do. The company expects the «resurgence of the capital» with London attracting new homebuyers once again.

Gilsenan thinks of Denmark Hill as a perfect project for Atelier with its good mix of both economic benefits and solid contribution to the regeneration of the neighbourhood.

John Smart of The Edition Group thinks of Atelier with its solid record of supporting sustainable developments and providing first-class lending solutions as a «perfect fit» for the Denmark Hill scheme. This project will appeal to sophisticated design-focused Londoners, and the developer looks forward to starting the construction soon.
