424 student study apartments.
A transformative new student accommodation development by Tide. This 23-storey building designed by Formation Architects will establish 424 modern student studios alongside state-of-the-art amenities and a focus on sustainability.
The development will feature ample shared spaces on the ground, first, and second floors, such as a landscaped terrace for lounging and mingling. Cycle storage facilities and a 24-hour staffed reception will provide convenience and security for residents. The project contributes to the community by providing 35% of the accommodation to affordable rents and 10% to be fully accessible.
The new buildings will use modular construction methods designed to speed up the process and minimise disruption to the neighbour. Urban greening and planting proposed on the site will also form part of this landscaped rectangle, which will be the site of new public space and biodiversity net gain.
A public consultation held in July 2024 at Southall Community College allowed residents to view and provide feedback on the proposals. The project incorporates community input and strives to enhance the surrounding public realm, creating a more inviting and vibrant environment.
Designed with a focus on sustainability and contemporary living, the development will offer state-of-the-art facilities and easy access to Southall Station, which connects directly to central London via the Elizabeth Line. This project marks a significant step in enhancing the local infrastructure and meeting the growing demand for student accommodation in London.
