New cafes, restaurants, public spaces, a library, a cinema, and a waste recycling center are also planned.
The North Camden Film District urban regeneration project, located west of London’s Kentish Town, is a core initiative under Yoo Capital Fund III, launched jointly by Yoo Capital and Camden Council. It is also one of the most aфmbitious projects Yoo Capital has led in London to date. The project is sited on the former plots of Holmes Road Depot and Regis Road Recycling Centre.
Unlike conventional mixed commercial-residential development projects, this initiative’s core positioning is a creative district anchored by film, television, and digital content production, focused on building a full ecosystem for the screen industry. Far from being a simple residential development, it is an urban transformation project that aims to drive creative employment, improve skills training, construct public spaces, and unlock long-term local economic value.
Its core appeal to potential homebuyers stems from the project’s substantial regeneration scale and the region’s unique cultural identity. For industry-supporting facilities, the project plans to build world-class film studios, post-production facilities, and collaborative spaces for creative enterprises.
It will also introduce two top specialized film and television institutions, the National Film and Television School and the London Screen Academy, to build a clear creative career pathway for local residents and strengthen the project’s domestic and international industry influence. For the residential and public amenities segment, the project plans for approximately 500 new housing units, 50% of which are affordable housing.
This affordable housing portion will be developed in partnership with Places for People. At present, core homebuying information, including unit types, supply volume, and pricing, has not been released, so interested target groups need to follow future updates continuously.
Public amenities will include over 1 hectare of new public green space and public realm, pedestrian-friendly streets, and a planned landscape bridge connecting Kentish Town and Hampstead Heath. The site will also be equipped with cultural community spaces such as galleries, shops, cafes, and restaurants. We remind all prospective buyers that before assessing the property value of this project, they must review the official maps, on-site project footage, and final planning documents that will be released later.
The project is expected to bring a total investment of £1 billion to Camden’s creative economy and surrounding communities and create thousands of employment and training positions related to the film and television screen industry. The Camden Film District property project, located in North London, serves local residents, businesses, education practitioners, investors, and the community. The project redevelops a section of Kentish Town.
Leveraging Camden’s existing arts and media heritage, it develops a distinctive district that integrates residential housing, employment spaces, public areas, and cultural infrastructure. Homebuyers are required to verify core information, including property details, before carrying out any transaction.
