The proposals at Cockfosters transform the car parks, helping to harmonise the two distinct zones that define the local area – the Urban and the Green. The site is adjacent to Trent Park, home to an English Country House and designated as Green Belt. The open, green space at the heart of the proposals at Cockfosters extends the influence of Trent Park up to the Grade II listed station designed by Charles Holden. The station itself has also inspired the designs, alongside other surrounding architecture.

The Proposals

The land at Cockfosters can provide 351 quality, well-designed homes including 40% affordable housing alongside around 4,000sqm of green, open space that reflects the neighbouring Trent Park landscape. The proposals fill a gap along the High Street, and a new cycle hub will be built giving Londoners somewhere safe and secure to lock their bicycles.

The homes at Cockfosters will be ideally located. They will benefit from being next to the Tube station which is served by the Piccadilly line, and local residents will also be able to take advantage of the excellent bus routes and cycle network in the local area.

At Cockfosters, the proposals include a variety of internal and external shared amenity spaces for all residents to enjoy, including a roof terrace, gym, and workspace.
