Queensgate Apartments 1 Frognal Avenue, Sidcup DA14 6LF –
Assisted living retirement properties in Sidcup, Kent.
Welcome to Queensgate Apartments in Sidcup. You’ll find our apartments spacious and more importantly future-designed to meet all your needs in later life – without compromising on style.
We have released our final wave of 2 and 3 bedroom apartments — and are taking reservations from people who have decided to become part of our growing family here. People who’ve been exploring options with us and had time with their families to talk about what’s important going forward.
Stay close to friends and family
Moving from a large family home to something easier to manage raises dozens of questions and triggers waves of emotions. The practical side of our brain tells us the earlier we do it, the better we are – physically, socially and financially.
Yet, understandably it’s not a task anyone undertakes lightly or instantly. So, you will be glad to know we have a warm and compassionate team here who can help you with your questions and explore what’s important – at your own pace.
Live a different lifestyle
The upside is you can stay independent, close to friends and family, yet meet other people and live a different lifestyle – where you can spend your energy doing things you want to do, rather than house-related work you have to. Join in with a spot of Chair Aerobics in our Wellness suite, invite the family over for lunch in the brasserie where our chef cooks home grown veg from the gardens.
Read a book or the paper in the library, say hello and grab a cup of tea with your neighbours in the snug or our club room, or simply treat yourself to a bit of a pamper or hair cut in the salon. Why not drop in and take a look at what life could be like?
The notions of community and belonging are experiences each of our residents enjoy in their own individual ways. And they can take many forms. There are those who enjoy the bustle of a large and lively group whereas others like nothing more than a quiet walk through our gardens, or losing themselves in a novel.
Our aim at Birchgrove is to create a social environment that is broad and inclusive, accessible for all, but is unpressured. We never forget that we’re here to help our residents to get as much, or as little, from each day as they wish – and we’re always here to listen and ready to try new things.
Getting to know you — Sidcup.

If you wish to drop in, you'll find us located right next to Queen Mary’s Hospital within easy reach of Sidcup High Street. And if you'd like us to visit you at home or arrange for you to have a personal tour, we'd be delighted... and you can book this at a time to suit you right here.

Choosing a floor plan might be tricky, but it shouldn't be so. See 3 quick tips below to pick only the right layout for your new home.
Tip 1 — Measure it all
You might already know your desired square footage when choosing a new home. Generally, more bedrooms mean more space, which also drives up the prices.
However, modern developers offer smart floor plans so you can make better use of the space. For instance, a studio with an open floor plan can be much more efficient and affordable than a typical 1-bedroom apartment with a traditional floor plan.
Tip 2 – Go with the flow
Once you have picked one or several layouts, you need to imagine living in the space. Visualise daily activities like laundry or cooking: is it convenient? Do you have enough space?
Online interior design apps that offer 3D visualisation (many of them are free) are time-savers here. Just download the desired floor plan from 1newhomes, upload it to the website you chose, and get a 3D render to visualise living in your new home.
Tip 3 — Do not neglect flexible space
The current lifestyle dictates its own rules. That’s why you need to consider flexible space in your perfect floor plan to have room for a home office or a gym. In addition, be sure to check that your new flat has a lot of natural light. The importance of the latter goes without saying.
A good floor plan means having all you need in a smartly designed space. We are sure our quick tips help you pick only the perfect layout for your new home.
