Silvertown represents one of London's most ambitious urban regeneration initiatives, which aims to revitalize a historically significant area of the Royal Docks in East London. Reanimating a formerly derelict 50-acre industrial site, the development transforms the location into a thriving mixed-use community centered around the iconic Millennium Mills building.

Led by The Silvertown Partnership with significant funding from Homes England and support from the Greater London Authority, the comprehensive scheme incorporates housing, retail, workspaces, cultural venues, and parks to cultivate a livable and well-integrated destination. Housing options will accommodate a variety of needs across tenures while preserving remnants of the locale's industrial past through the adaptive reuse of landmark structures.

Community-Centric and Environmentally Resilient

Silvertown is conceived as a socially inclusive, environmentally conscious community. Approximately 6,500 units are planned, half designated affordable housing. Significant greenery like squares and waterfront promenades feature alongside commitments to biodiversity and energy-efficient construction. Public input shaped key aspects to reflect local perspectives.

Well-integrated transportation is paramount for success, as Custom House station provides quick access to the Elizabeth Line and DLR. Low-carbon commuting is supported through cycling paths and walkways. The site's strategic location within the Royal Docks area makes it ideal for long-term investment and urban evolution. This development offers living spaces but also contributes to a broader vision of economic and cultural rejuvenation.

A Landmark London Project with Distinct Character
