Skillcrown is pleased to announce it has secured a new contract with PA Housing to build a six-storey development in Waldram Crescent, Lewisham SE23, consisting of 22 new apartments with ground floor commercial space.
The new apartments will be sold under the government’s shared ownership scheme, providing much-needed affordable homes in the Lewisham area. Situated close to Forest Hill Station in Zone 3, the development will offer excellent transport links into the city, as well as close proximity to shops, restaurants, entertainment and culture, including the nearby Horniman Museum.
Skillcrown’s appointment as contractor on the £5.3 million project was included as part of the land transfer agreement in a package devised by development agent City & Counties, with Turner and Townsend acting as Employer’s Agent.
Construction on the project will begin in July 2021 and is set to last almost two years, with completion in April 2023.

Newly founded insurance and structured finance advice firm, J3 Advisory, has advised on latent defects insurance for £26m of new residential property projects from South East residential property developers, Skillcrown Homes & Epicho Homes.
Skillcrown Homes commissioned J3 to arrange latent defect insurance on a collection of projects, which will deliver affordable flats, shared ownership apartments and luxury homes.
The projects include a six-storey Waldram Crescent development that comprises 22 shared ownership apartments and commercial space on the ground floor which is being constructed on behalf of a housing association, PA Housing. Construction is set to be complete in April 2023.
