Market engagement sessions to start next month

Firms are gearing up for a £1.5bn consultancy framework being launched by the government early next year.

The framework will cover a wide range of construction consultancy services to be used by all public sector bodies, including central government departments, local authorities, devolved administrations and charities.

Market engagement sessions for the framework are due to be held through August and September with industry experts and potential suppliers.

A webinar will also take place on 11 August featuring further information for potential bidders.

These sessions will help the Crown Commercial Service (CCS), the government procurement agency operating the framework, decide how the framework’s lots will be broken down.

Lots currently proposed are for multi-discipline work, project management, architectural consultancy, cost management consultancy, engineering consultancy and environmental consultancy.

In a Prior Information Notice, the CCS said it expects the final contract notice to be published on 20 January next year.

Last week, Scape Group launched two frameworks worth a combined £13bn for contractors across England, Wales and Scotland which will be open to all public sector organisations.
