Own a home in one of London’s most iconic cultural districts — refined design, vibrant streetscape, and unmatched connectivity.
The Museum Street Project is located directly across from the British Museum in Bloomsbury, Central London, and is now a large-scale mixed-use development. The project, which is being developed by Simten Developments, is intended to turn an underutilized site into a high-quality urban quarter.
It will bring new homes, office space, and retail blocks as well as changes for the better in public space. In between Covent Garden and Fitzrovia, this very rare opportunity for Londoners to get a footing in central London living in an area with conservation status is historically rich and yet ecologically built around nature's standards of design.
RSHP’s architectural vision makes a contextual response to the texture of the city including a new pedestrian street through the neighborhood, High Holborn linking up with the Museum now on one side of Bloomsbury and not far from Covent Garden itself on the other only because we can't bear to walk ten minutes outside. However not presently offered for sale, these units are anticipated to attract those with an interest in architecture seeking centrally located living space.
The Museum Street Project has excellent connectivity: it is close to several transport hubs. Within 300 meters is Tottenham Court Road station, which offers fast trains to Heathrow, Canary Wharf, and Paddington via the Elizabeth Line. Holborn station and many bus routes are also within walking distance. On one hand, the site lies in a complex of educational institutions about as large, in its way, as the City that surrounds it. On the other, it is close to several flagship media, cultural, and government buildings.
DisclaimerFollowing the grant of planning consent for the Museum Street masterplan in March 2024, the project team has continued to refine the design as part of the next stage of development. As a result, a Section 73 application and a Section 19 application (relating to listed building elements) are being submitted to seek approval for a series of updates to the residential blocks and minor façade enhancements to the One Museum Street building. These proposed revisions respond to on-site conditions and emerging design opportunities, without affecting the number, size, or location of affordable homes within the development.
