Redbridge Council has granted unanimous revised planning consent for Telford Homes' Chapel Place development on the 4.82-acre Sainsbury's site in Ilford IG1. The approval comes after adjustments were made to the scheme by a team led by HTA architects, responding to emerging revised fire safety guidance. Notably, five of the proposed seven buildings were redesigned to incorporate a secondary means of escape.
