Quartermile Lane, London E20 5LR – Stratford
All new homes in this development are sold out. We can help you find a secondary housing option in Chobham Manor.
Chobham Manor is a new residential development at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London E20. There are 5 principal types of housing planned for the development - townhouses, mews-style properties, maisonettes, mansion blocks and terraced apartments.
Seventy-five per cent of the homes will be family homes with three or more bedrooms and twenty-eight per cent will be affordable homes, the first of which went sale in summer 2015.
The 850 homes will consist of one, two and three bedroom apartments including masionette and duplexes plus three, four and five bedroom houses. The homes have been designed to appeal to multiple generations, some properties will include gardens and every home at Chobham Manor will be designed to the Lifetime Homes Standard, ensuring they are wheelchair accessible.
L&Q and Taylor Wimpey launched the first phase of homes for private sale at Chobham Manor on Friday 30 May, 2014. Over the first weekend, 48 open market homes were reserved by purchasers.
Visitors to Chobham Manor have the opportunity to explore the two magnificent new showhomes and can view digital walkthroughs, models and floorplans of selected properties in the state-of-the-art Chobham Manor Sales and Marketing Suite.
Shared Ownership at Chobham Manor
You can buy a 25% – 75% share of your new home. You’ll pay a mortgage on this and subsidised rent to L&Q on the remaining share. You need a deposit of 10% of the value of your share, meaning you can enjoy the stability of home ownership with a much lower upfront cost.
As time goes on and your income rises, you’ll have the option to ‘staircase’ – to increase the amount you own. During your ownership, you can do this three times, with prices based on the market value of your home at the time, eventually, you can own 100% of your home, and no longer pay rent.
Eligibility criteria applies. You must have a maximum household income of £90,000.

Choosing a floor plan might be tricky, but it shouldn't be so. See 3 quick tips below to pick only the right layout for your new home.
Tip 1 — Measure it all
You might already know your desired square footage when choosing a new home. Generally, more bedrooms mean more space, which also drives up the prices.
However, modern developers offer smart floor plans so you can make better use of the space. For instance, a studio with an open floor plan can be much more efficient and affordable than a typical 1-bedroom apartment with a traditional floor plan.
Tip 2 – Go with the flow
Once you have picked one or several layouts, you need to imagine living in the space. Visualise daily activities like laundry or cooking: is it convenient? Do you have enough space?
Online interior design apps that offer 3D visualisation (many of them are free) are time-savers here. Just download the desired floor plan from 1newhomes, upload it to the website you chose, and get a 3D render to visualise living in your new home.
Tip 3 — Do not neglect flexible space
The current lifestyle dictates its own rules. That’s why you need to consider flexible space in your perfect floor plan to have room for a home office or a gym. In addition, be sure to check that your new flat has a lot of natural light. The importance of the latter goes without saying.
A good floor plan means having all you need in a smartly designed space. We are sure our quick tips help you pick only the perfect layout for your new home.
