UK house market will remain open during second lockdown
09 Nov 2020

Despite the introduction of a national lockdown on Thursday 28 October, the UK’s housing market will remain open (unlike in spring, when the sale and purchase of homes was severely restricted for more than 6 weeks).
Mortgage vacations will also be extended.
Robert Jenrick, UK Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, twitted this.
In addition, Prime Minister Boris Johnson made it clear in his address to the nation that construction sites should remain open during this period.
