Features
Welcome to Wickside: a brand new seven acre, canal-side neighbourhood in Hackney Wick, East London, which will see the creation of around 500 homes, along with a variety of shops, eateries and leisure facilities. Reflecting the area’s status as an artistic hub, the site will also be home to creative studios, an art gallery, and, as a nod to Hackney Wick’s industrial past, a large brewery.
Set to comprise a mixture of apartments, penthouses, garden studios and terraced houses, all of the properties at Wickside will boast beautifully modern interiors with industrial-chic style at the core of the design. Each floor plan will feature a designer kitchen, luxuriously appointed bathrooms and shower rooms with Terrazzo tiling, and a private balcony or terrace.
Local Area
Wickside will have everything residents could possibly need all in one place for a life of ease, from leisure and recreational facilities, to art studios and workspaces, to retail and dining.
The development is flanked by three notable open spaces, including the beautiful Victoria Park, numerous stations and dozens of independent bistros, bars, boutiques, arenas and entertainment venues. Just a stone’s throw from the development, residents will find the hippest segment of the Hertford Union Canal; stroll or cycle along this scenic part of East London and soak up the bohemian, “anything goes” ambience.
You’ll be sure to discover all sorts of artsy water-front cafés and pubs, floating boutiques and dog walkers. When it comes to indulging in retail therapy, Europe’s largest mall, Westfield Stratford, is just one stop away on the Overground or a 14 minute walk, and is home to over 300 shops, 50 restaurants and a cinema.
Transport
Wickside is superbly connected for all forms of transport. Hackney Wick station is a three minute walk from the development and operates an Overground service, connecting passengers to Stratford in as little as three minutes.
From Stratford station, a choice of three Underground line services — the Central line, the Jubilee line and the all-new Crossrail service, the Elizabeth line — connect passengers to destinations such as Canary Wharf, Bank, Bond Street and Paddington. Meanwhile, the DLR transports passengers to the Docklands and London City Airport within 14 minutes.
DisclaimerWe have created an automatic ranking system for new-build homes in London based on several critical features around the development, like schools, parks, and transport infrastructure.
We have developed this new analytical tool to calculate the scores based on the location data. Note that AutoScore values are not set by us or anyone else – everything happens automatically.
