The Arbour sits on 147–165 Orford Road in Walthamstow, East London, which is in Zone 3. It's right in Walthamstow Village, a place known for its homes, unique shops, and nearby parks. Building Concept and Residential Composition

This building is a two-story place with ten apartments, some with two floors. It's not too big, which makes it feel private and neighborly, unlike bigger apartment buildings. The apartments surround shared gardens, with balconies and outdoor spaces. There are also shared areas for people to meet and spend time together.

The inside design focuses on being green and using new materials. Rockett St George designed the spaces with special touches. The materials are strong, easy to care for, and don't harm the environment. The building uses only electricity and has solar panels, heat pumps, and energy-saving construction. This building looks to the future by caring about the environment and comfort.

Sustainability Focus and Market Positioning

The Arbour was built with three things in mind: being carbon-negative, creating zero construction waste, and making more energy than it uses. The apartments have the highest energy rating and are designed to make more energy than they use, so utility costs are very low. The walls are made of compressed earth bricks, with recycled materials, and special parts made from on-site materials. This project is a rare example of housing that helps the planet, right in London.
