Location

Maybrey Works is located on Worsley Bridge Road in south London, one mile from Beckenham, three miles from Dulwich and nine miles from central London. The A205 South Circular Road is five minutes’ drive from the development.

Maybrey Works lies within the administrative boundaries of the London Borough of Bromley.

Shopping

Sydenham Road – 20 minutes’ walk from Maybrey Works – is home to a selection of independent retailers, coffee shops, several supermarkets, bars, restaurants and a comedy club.

Bell Green Retail Park (one mile away) and Penge High Street (two miles away) between them offer a range of supermarkets, fashion and homewares stores.

For a greater range of shopping opportunities, Bromley town centre can be reached in around 10 minutes by car, while Croydon and Lewisham town centres are 20 minutes’ drive away.

Leisure

Sydenham and neighbouring Lewisham are blessed with open space in the form of parks and sports grounds, that are ideal for running, walking or simply enjoying nature. Mayow Park, one mile from the development and Sydenham Wells Park, two miles away, both have nature reserves, tennis courts and sports courts and pitches. Beckenham Place Park – 15 minutes’ walk away – provides a backdrop to watersports, including open water swimming, canoeing, kayaking and paddleboarding, that regularly take place on its large lake. Kelsey Park (two miles away) has mini golf and tennis courts, while Cator Park (one mile away) also has tennis courts and grassy areas for games.

Crystal Palace Park covers 200 acres and boasts a fishing and boating lake, a maze, woodland, walking trails a museum, the famous dinosaur trail and a concert space – that in the past played host to the greats of rock and pop music. It is also home to Crystal Palace National Sports Centre. Facilities there include an athletics track, football pitches, swimming pools, climbing walls, fitness studios, a gym and sports courts.

Transport

The nearest train station to the development is Lower Sydenham, just a short walk away. From there regular services run to London Bridge (journey time around 15 minutes), London Waterloo East (journey time around 20 minutes), London Cannon Street (journey time around 25 minutes) and London Charing Cross (journey time around 25 minutes).

Major roads within easy reach of the development include the A205 South Circular, the A23 and the A232.

Local buses connect the area with surrounding towns and central London.
