The 669-unit development features studios, two-dios, and cluster apartments. The project complements the destination pan-LSE expansion plan on increasing housing capacity for students which reflects increased demand especially given that then Government has set an ambitious target of single numbers of 600,000 international student by 2030. A viaduct neighbourhood linking Holborn Viaduct and Snow Hill, in addition to a broader improved public realm will further stitch the development into the local area.
The site, previously called Citicape House, was originally earmarked for a 382-bedroom hotel with a 40,000-square-foot living wall to enhance air quality. These have since been revised to reflect the student-oriented mixed-use development that promises cultural and community spaces, in addition to sorely needed housing, which was approved by City of London in 2020.
