709 Harrow Road in Sudbury, Greater London HA0 is set to undergo a transformation. The site, currently housing a single-storey MOT testing center that started trading in 1966 and spans approximately 5,511ft2, has been granted planning permission for redevelopment.
The proposed project, designed by Milligan Knight Architects, involves the demolition of the existing MOT testing center and the construction of a new mixed-use development. The new building, reaching five to six stories with a basement, will consist of 22 residential units – comprising 8 one-bedroom, 8 two-bedroom, and 6 three-bedroom units – encompassing a total area of 16,775ft2.
Additionally, the development will include 2,273ft2 of retail space. Although the MOT testing center has been vacant since 2019, it remains in good condition, paving the way for this exciting redevelopment opportunity sanctioned by planning permission granted on 10th February 2020.
